What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical technique that uses micro-injections of pharmaceutical or homeopathic preparations, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into the skin & subcutaneous fat. There are many published studies on the clinical treatments and effects of these preparations.
Mesotherapy was founded by French clinician Michele Pistor in the 1940’s. Since then it has become a popular treatment, practiced by thousands of physicians worldwide. Mesotherapy uses tiny injections up to a maximum depth of 4mm targeting the dermal layer of the skin to reverse the signs of skin ageing, to tighten skin that has lost its elasticity, to dissolve the fat molecules that cause cellulite or to combat hair loss.
How long will it last?
Mesotherapy is usually given in a course of treatment with results lasting between 3-5 months, top-up treatments will be required to maintain results and treatment protocols vary depending on the indication and serum used. It is ideal for those individuals who are in generally good health but are troubled by the appearance of wrinkles, uneven skin texture, sagging skin, cellulite or those who want to kick-start a visible complexion transformation.
